MSMEs have contributed significantly to the growth and success of our country. The central government has introduced Udyog Aadhar certificate to promote MSMEs. Under this scheme, an MSME can avail benefits of business loans and other schemes. Nevertheless, to avail all these benefits, the MSME owner has to register his business under the Udyog Aadhar scheme.

After registering with the scheme, the applicant gets Udyog Aadhar certificate. There is a unique code on the certificate, UAN – Udyog Aadhar Number. This unique code provides identity to the business. To avail the benefits of the government schemes, the business owner has to provide the same code.

Udyog Aadhar Certificate is an identification certificate provided by the Central government. It is issued by the MSME ministry. Prominence for Government Schemes

The registered enterprises get the first prominence in the schemes by the Central government. Let’s understand this with the help of an example. Ten businessmen apply for a business loan under the MUDRA scheme with a bank. Out of them, only one businessman has registered his business under Udyog Aadhar. He will get priority for the loan, and his application will be first processed.
